I HAVE BEEN IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY FOR OVER 20 YEARS, WHICH PUTS ME IN THE OVER 40 CLUB.

I am a professional makeup artist in Sonoma and Napa County. I specialize in bridal and photography makeup services and offer one-on-one makeup and teach how to elevate your look on a daily basis.  I have expanded the role of teacher into content creator and am on Instagram and TikTok as a Beauty Influencer.  I help with topics such as beauty over 40, makeup over 40, mature makeup, mature skin, makeup tutorials, makeup routine, beauty basics, makeup for beginners, skincare routines, mature beauty, and more.  I am an ambassador for Sephora and am on their Sephora Squad.  This allows me to partner with beauty brands and share the POV of a pro makeup artist and a woman over 40.  I do a lot of product reviews and beauty blogs that you can find on my website. I’m the beauty bff you didn’t know you needed! 

I know it’s cliche, but I like to think of myself as the sister you never had, that teaches you all things beauty. When I was growing up, there were no video tutorials, no internet to search and no one around me had a clue. Even if your big sister did help you out with your makeup, she likely didn’t know what she was doing either! Lucky for me, I got a job at M.A.C Cosmetics while I was going to college and finally learned about makeup and how to apply it. I was with the brand for 13 years in San Francisco and decided to leave when I had my second baby. I was going to be a stay-at-home mom and we moved back to Sonoma County.

I quickly realized I missed the creativity of makeup but didn’t want to go back to a traditional job. I decided to start freelancing for myself. I have been doing that for 8 years. I am one of the leading bridal makeup artists in Sonoma County. I do makeup for anything photography related. Senior portraits, family photos, boudoir, maternity, etc. There is a huge age range among the clients that I help. From teenagers to 96 years old! This is a huge asset to both me and YOU! I have to ensure makeup lasts all day on a variety of skin types, textures, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, you name it. I test products out on myself and clients before I bring them to you.

YOUR FACE IS THE MAGIC!

 A huge compliment as a makeup artist is “OMG I could NEVER do this! I wish I could take you home with me!” That is so nice, but it has always frustrated me. You see, the thing is I specialize in natural glam. Just enough to make you look elevated, and possibly like maybe a filter is happening, but in real life. So when someone is in awe, it is THEIR beautiful face that is the magic. I just used a few products to make their features pop. It led to me doing makeup lessons, so I could teach my clients how to achieve this elevation everyday. I wanted them to realize I wasn’t a magician, this could be taught.

During the pandemic, I started doing tutorials and quick tips on social media and have loved it! I love sharing my knowledge with you and giving you honest, tried and true product recommendations. Currently, I’m on my second year as an ambassador on the Sephora Squad. This has been game changing for me. I get to participate in special master classes with leading makeup artists and brands, get paid partnership opportunities and PR for dayssssss. The PR allows me to try more products than I could normally afford to do so, which allows me to share even more with you! I love being the beauty BFF you never knew you needed.
